LEAVE IT ALONE PLEASE
every year
twice a year
i say this
leave it along please
as
my body tries to adjust to daylight savings time
i think it should be called daylight loosing time
or
more appropriately
night time loosing sleep time
saturday night after going to a birthday party
i went to bed and woke up at my usual time
at 400 am
and
as i sat looking at my computer down in the left corner
was the time
it said 500am
so
i looked at my cell phone
yep its 500am
thats when i realized its daylight savings time
i was feeling real perky
drinking my coffee
reading my emails
then
i realized the time change day was here
i felt tired all of a sudden
then
later in the day i took an afternoon nap
woke up and looked at the clock
it said 330pm
man i thought i sure didnt nap very long did i
then
thats when i realized it was really 430pm
i had forget to change the clock
one good thing about the time change this weekend
is
that the time in my old black truck will now be correct
for a few months
this morning i read an article about the time change
today
the monday after the spring forward time change
is the day there is a 21% increase in heart attacks
supposedly due to the lack of sleep
and
the changes our bodies have to undergo each spring
readjusting to the new time
so
i am going on record today
lets get rid of daylight killing time
now do i want it locked in at a spring forward
or
a fall back to where it was time
i want
since i am a morning person
more of a morning
so i propose that we
heck i cant figure it out
does spring forward or fall back give us more morning time
whichever one gives us an earlier sun rise
thats the one i want
then

TOGD, , what is more funny about trying to alter the time to just follow a guideline, based upon historical reasons to save energy due to, you guessed it, oil embargos, and savings for the wars, history repeats itself again. Do the plants, or animals care if the electro/mechanical device was altered? You are right, set it and forget it, with all the things we have today, is there really an energy savings? Or is there better health from changing the time, you state there is not. Set it and forget it! Leave the natural rhythm of the universe alone.
