COME WALK WITH ME


this is the third year that i have had my walk to end alzheimers
team walk in the williamson county walk to end alzheimers

those who read this blog know that my mother had alzheimers disease
my dad probably had alzheimers diesease
my younger brother has alzheimers disease
and
based on neuropsychological tests
subtle changes in memory
abnormal levels of proteins in my spinal fluid and
the apoe 4 double gennotype
all point to my diagnosis of early mild cognitive impairment amnestic type
being due to
alzheimers disease

for that reason i have now been on aricept (donepezil) for 2 1/2 years
and have been stable for the last 3 years

my team is made up of
my family
my friends
my wifes shes friends
many former patients
my former clinic employees
my former medical colleagues
my blog readers
anyone else who wants to walk with us that day
