winging it

WINGING IT
i love fried chicken
just dont ever get it anymore
i grew up in the deep south
and
loved to eat my moms fried chicken
it never seemed greasy or bad to me
it wasnt quite like the colonels chicken
his did seem greasy when you got past that
thick crust

my wife she bakes her chicken
which is close to moms friend chicken
and
i guess its more healthy

when i was a child
i remember raising our own chickens
and
using them for our meat source

the worst part was that they had to be killed
theres not a good way to do that
the method used was the wringing of the neck
and
having to watch them die afterwards

i guess using the cone method is better
we didnt have one

i guess for many of us now if we had to do this
we would never ever eat chicken

i know i threaten our country n hens if they dont lay eggs
but
i think they know that i couldnt ever do that to them

although i did think about several times
of applying that technique on our rooster larry
he who seemed to like my wife so much

i still have scars when he attacked my back when i was
working on something in the chicken coop
if i could have gotten my hands on it at that moment
yep think i would have wrung his neck

now
the only chicken i get is bbq chicken from a nearby
bbq place
it does a good job of cooking the chicken
i especially like to pull off the wings
and
eat everything thats edible
when i finish
after a lengthy messy battle with that wing
and
a big pile of paper towels
i have reduced that wing to nothing but bones

this week while reading the kim komando website
i ran across this video on how to eat chicken wings
without much mess

how come someone hasnt thought of this before
it seems so easy
i cant wait to try it out soon on a batch of bbq wings
