stoking may help

STOKING MAY HELP

if you live in colorado or in washington state you can legally
buy marijuana to smoke
but
researchers cant go buy some to do research
especially if they get federal funds
they have to buy it from a special farm at the university of mississippi

it can cost $100,000 for this weed to use in a research project
a rat to study eg one that will get alzheimers can cost $250
the expenses can be great for a research project
then
the feds arent funding the research like they should
that is the research on using marijuana in patients with alzheimers

it has been noticed that those folks from the 60s who smoked pot
a lot but not the bad stoners
now that they are entering their 80s and 90s dont seem to get
alzheimers disease as much as they should

so there is something happening with the use of marijuana that slows
down the disease process

recently the federal government oked the use of pot in kids who
have uncontrollable seizures
it seems to help some
parents were just buying from the local weed dealer and giving
it to their kids
now
thanks to the change of heart they can get it legal now for
this apparently effective treatment for this difficult to manage
disease uncontrollable seizures in kids

bet its cheaper just to buy the local weed than get it legal though

researchers have found that marijuana decreases the beta amyloid
that sticky build up that occurs with alzheimers disease
which if the observation of decreased alzheimers disease
in the 60s crowd as they get older is true
explains why

i was never a pot smoker
tried it when i was younger
unlike bill clinton i inhaled it
but never became a user

now as i am older
and am facing an uncertain future with the possibility of alzhiemers
disease in my future
i am willing to try anything that appears to help slow things down

so i was wondering if i smoked a joint at bedtime or ate a brownie
would it first help me overcome my problem with sleeping that i have
from taking my medication for possible alzheimers disease
called aricept (donepezil)
and
would it help slow down the disease

i have no doubt if i lived in colorado or in washington or in a state
where there are medical marijuana clinics that i would be stoking
at night

it is sad that there is a drug that is so readily available though not
legal here in texas
that may have the potential to help

cant we just do the damn research and find out for sure
surely this cant be worse than taking xanax or ambien or
oxycodone or so many other drugs

heck look how sharp willie is

it does appear that a low dose of marijuana is the best to use

cant you just see it now
at all the old folks homes and retirement places
all those grey headed folks toking one at bedtime

if it helps why not
could we just lift the stigma for this one cause please
you did it for those kids

  1. Love this Doc. I wonder how much it would help kids on the autism spectrum with anxiety. Hello to Jo Ann.

  2. Healing plants...what a concept. Somebody should have thought of that awhile ago. ;-) Here's hoping we see change in time to help you and others who could benefit, though I'm sure big pharma might get a little peeved about being one-upped by a weed.

    1. one problem is that the thc is readily available. so this if it was sold as a drug would be like a generic with many companies not interested.
the drug has a lot of potential for certain situations like nausea with chemotherapy and for the right reasons should be readily available
colorado and washingtons population may increase
