even i started saying and singing this under my breath
as i was driving along in the car
inspired by all the thousands and thousands of
us soccer fans that were singing it
at venues all over the world
heck
there were thousands at jerrys world in dallas
i mean arlington
watching the us play on the big jumbotran tv screen there
and
all chanting
i believe that we will win

at the world cup in brazil
as i watched on tv
i watched all the us games
and
i watched a lot of the other games
including the semifinals games and the final game
i got these chill bumps
even shivered some
first listening to the star spangled banner
our national anthem
being sung in that faraway stadium
then
it was followed by the relentless chanting of the us fans
there and all over the world
i believe that we will win

now the us hopes were down graded some when the group
they were in was announced
even i thought they aint going to make it out of that group
but
this young team with the super goalie made most folks
even myself eat our words and thoughts
they in the end were no match for those elite european teams
the dutch and germany

futbol the most popular sport in the world
was shown well on the international and national spotlight
this summer
for a brief time it overtook the sports world even here in
the us
even i heard sports announcers talking about it
who are always degrading soceer

hopefully this catching the hearts of americans this summer
can help propel this futbol more into the sports psychy of
us americans

i can feel the momentum

now that all said
i loved the espn handling of the world cup
the greatness of futbol
the showing of the american futbol team
but
i must say i am now ready for the american football to start
