whats the buzz all about

WHATS THE BUZZ ALL ABOUT

my wife she is always sending me articles
and she is usually good at sending me ones on things that
i am really interested in
you know what im talking about
we all have those friends who send us stuff that we dont like
like they are facebooking our email

this one was good
what would our grocery stores be like without bees

now here in america we are doing our best to wipe out the bees
and
we have been fairly successful i must add

so here at the country n we are trying to do our best to save those guys

this fall when you drive into our driveway
you will see the bright reddish trees that almost hurt your eyes
they are called flame sumac

recently when i walked up my driveway
i heard this noise and for a second i couldnt locate it
at first i thought it was a rattlesnake but it lasted too long
then i thought it was a tree full of locust or some other insect
but
on closer observation the flame sumac was blooming with
these clusters of flowers
which were covered with hundreds of these busy little bees
buzz bobbies by the hundreds

the other two trees that just get covered like this in our yard
are the mesquite trees
and
the evergreen sumac

wildflower.org

so a search for central texas plants to have in your yard that
supports the life of bees was done

now these are the ones i have
rosemary  agarita  primrose  gregs mist flower  lantana  zexmenia
bluebonnets  huisache tree  aster  redbud tree  verbena  coral vine
but one that they seem to go buzz bobby over
is when i let my wild arugula go to flower
they cover the small flowers in layers

we also have an environment that is conducive to bees
a total organic environment with no pesticides or other poisons
allowed
we have bare ground that some use to live in
as well as old trees and brush in our pastures that they
will live in also
plus we provide them with all the rainwater they want
easily accessible at 3 small ponds and a small watering trough

we hope to call our country n a bee haven not heaven
