gardening book

GARDENING BOOK

for gifts sometimes family and friends give us gift cards
now i drop hints all the time to my wife she
i sure like to get gift cards
from lowes home depot the natural gardener and book stores
for my gifts
hint hint is what i do

so this last year we got together a gift card to the
local austin bookstore

now i knew from past experience
if i wanted to use this gift card to buy a book
i had better act real fast

one trip my wife she makes to that store
and
poof its all gone
down to zero
and
i never even get a chance

so while listening to the gardening show on klbj590am
one weekend
and
later while watching the pbs show
central texas gardener
there were interviews with
trisha shirey about her new book
thats pictured above

now i knew her from listening to her on the radio
and
seeing her on the gardening show
that  she was good organic gardener
and
was a good teacher

so i jumped quick
hey
would you see if bookpeople has her new book
vegetable gardening in the southwest
also
i knew from listening to the shows that it was all sold out
at amazon and barnes and noble
heard bookpeople had a few left
plus
i knew she was on the way down there to that book store

so my wife she
shes a good wife she is
she came home that day with only one book
my book
it only cost $21.60 with tax
so
i guess she can go ahead and use the rest of our gift card
for whatever books she wants

now this book
vegetable gardening in the southwest
is really written for newbies to gardening around here
its all about organic gardening
very thorough
theres instructions on what to do to get started
month to month guides on what to do
i looked at februarys list just to make sure i was doing things right

i like that it doesnt give you too much information

i plan to keep it on my coffee table for a good reference

i would like to thank
the gift giver who gave us the gift card
my wife she for letting me get a gift book this time
and
of course
trisha shirey for writing such a good reference on
how to organically do vegetable gardening around here
