dear ms b-know what you eat

DEAR MS B-KNOW WHAT YOU EAT

 ms
in this picture above you are helping me pour stuff on
your garden
in the container is a mixture of seaweed and fish emulsion
and molasses
an organic mixture that stimulates the growth of the veggies
in your square foot garden
you dont have to worry about any bad stuff being dumped
on top of the veggies that you eat from the garden

not so
though when you eat veggies grown elsewhere
especially non organically

now lucky for you
there is this fantastic farmers market near where you live
so much of what you eat veggie wise come from there

no here is a tale
of where some of our foods come from
please dont eat any of this stuff

now in arkansas
yes you have roots there
there is a lot of soybeans grown there
some places grow soybeans that have a gene to resist the spraying
of that monsanto stuff called roundup
dont ever let your daddy use this stuff
or
stuff with atracine in it commonly used in weed and feed
Image result for atrazine frogs
nrdc.org
that stuff makes frogs have one eye and 5 legs
who knows what it would do to your growing little body

so now this roundup resistant soybeans has led to weeds
that are now roundup resistant
you know
nature has a way to win in the end
lesson dont mess with it too much

they would spray this roundup all over the soybeans
to kill the weeds
the problem is there is a thing called natural selection
nature selected the weed that was resistant to this bad stuff
round up
so those weeds then start to take over
cause monsantos poison wont work no more

so they developed a new poison called dicamba
they developed a new plant resistant to round up and the new stuff
so they spray it on the soybeans to kill the weeds
problem is its not approved yet by the epa

monsanto does it anyway
they are the donald trump of poison makers

so
yep
you guessed it
natural selection the old nature always wins eventually
the soybean weeds called pigweed are developing resistant to the new stuff

now in my organic garden the weeds that do show up
are not resistant to my treatment
i reach down
grasp it tightly
pull it up
put it in my compost pile
to eventually be used to grow my weed free garden

wonder if monsanto ever thought of something like this
