this was true 8 years ago and its still true today
all these things that make you live longer well it seems are the same things that you need to do to slow down or maybe to prevent alzheimers disease

it was about this time 8 years ago when i did get on blood pressure medication to control my blood pressure
now 8 years later i am off my medication since i have lost so much weight since being sick with whatever i had in march
i still think i had the covid 19 but will one day be able to know for sure when the accurate antibody tests are available
my blood pressure stays around 110-120/60-70 now off medication
i know as i gain my weight back i may have to get back on my blood pressure mediation

my bmi or body mass index is now at 20 which is low normal
8 years ago it was 25
now we know that 30 or greater is a bad bmi if you get covid 19
its also bad for getting diabetes alzheimers stroke heart attack and a lot of other health issues

i dont drink rainwater anymore but now drink filtered tap water
we sure miss our rainwater
we notice it with the taste of the water when we shower our clothes when we wash them and the residue thats left everywhere on pots and pans and the metal sink and faucets etc

it is important to do all of these healthy things to have you fight off the covid 19 infection if you get it since those with obesity diabetes hypertension etc dont do as well as those who dont have it
if you have these you should get them controlled since this virus may be with us for awhile

so to live a longer healthier life do these things below

LIVE LONGER

new studies have shown that you might be able to live longer
with discoveries from recent research

although they are not cures for cancer or for cardiovascular disease
they greatly reduce the incidence of both

the best reduction was in the incidence of lung cancer
(besides quitting smoking or not smoking at all)

its not some new miracle drug with terrible side effects or some
new drug that will cost us all a ton of money or
some drug that the us drug companies cant produce enough of
to make a profit so we have to go to a foreign country to get
the drug

its not some new cardiovascular drug or some new cardiovascular
surgical procedure or some new device to hook up a patient to

its not some big study sponsored by a big drug company or
product manufacturer

its studies sponsored by the aca american cancer society and the
aha american heart association

this new preventative treatment may reduce according to one study
the incidence of cardiovascular mortality by 48% in men and 58% in
women
the incidence of cancer mortality  may be reduced by 30% in
men and 24% in women

these are significant numbers
these findings are very significant
you dont see a lot of information on these findings on the news though

whats this new miracle treatment that can decrease the incidence of
heart attacks and strokes and multiple different cancers

are you ready for this new treatment

its diet and exercise
diet and exercise
diet and exercise

some recommendations
4.5 cups of fruit or vegetables a day
lets see i eat an orange,a banana, an apple, carrots at lunch
a salad at night and usually one vegetable at night
check

2 or more servings of fish a week
dont do that one
do take an omega 3 fish oil supplement a day

less than 1500 mg sodium a day
check

not more than 36 oz of sugar sweetened beverages a week
feel sorry for those sweet tea lovers
i dont drink any of this
i mostly drink rainwater
check

three servings of whole grains a day
check

maintain body mass index the bmi <25
mines 25
call it a check

maintain blood pressure 120/80
mines really close to that
give it an almost complete check

maintain blood sugar at <100
check
(read where statins may slightly increase this number
may be the reason mine was slightly up at 104+ in the past)

maintain a blood cholesterol < 200
i am using diet and a statin for this one
check

maintain at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity
a week or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity a week
i wore a pedometer the other day in the afternoon when working
on my property and walked 2.5 miles total
give this one a check

interesting if you just change one of these you get a significant
improvement

interesting enough is that these same parameters if followed seems
to slow down or prevent the delay of alzheimers disease and
cognition problems
it also is the treatment to prevent diabetes and are the parameters
recommended for the treatment of someone with diabetes

surely it cant be this simple
no copay
no health insurance needed
no drugs to take

just

eat right and exercise
__________
whats good for the heart is good for the brain so do all these healthy things to live longer
