make it bigger

MAKE IT BIGGER
there are some things the government
just cant seem to do as well
as charities can

maybe its the politics involved
the taxes that would have to be spent
to do the same services

hopefully all of us have charities
that we support

we have chosen a few that we support
we do this support by
first doing volunteer work
it costs only for the gas to get there
the pay
you feel it deep inside
well its worth it when you get finished
with your days task

even when my wife she helps me with the
habitat for humanity landscape
yes even she feels good about the time
she spends helping finish up the landscape
for the new owner

so based on our interests in helping certain
organizations

we support by volunteering and or giving donations to

Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, Texas
williamson county habitat for humanity

Alzheimer's Texas
alzheimers texas

today in austin
you dont have to live in this area to donate
there is an online charity donation push that happens every year
to raise money for charities

this year the goal is $9,000,000

lets all help these charities meet their goals
many dont receive government money
some do
but
what we give them is most of what they have
to do the good they do

the day is
amplify austin day
click on this link
i live here i give here
type in the group you want to donate to
do your donation
they all need help

then after you do your donation
try
volunteering like we do
if you have kids make them volunteer
it could change their lives

it will make you and your family better people
it will make you feel good inside
you never know
one day you may need some of their help

lets make it bigger today

make it larger

MAKE IT LARGER
thats the definition of amplify

Image result for amplify austin 2015
today is the start of 24 hours of
amplify austin
from 5pm today to 5pm tomorrow afternoon

the website
i live here i give here
is where you can go to donate to your favorite
nonprofit

i quickly skimmed the list of nonprofits to find the
ones that my wife she and i regularly donate to

Image result for alzheimer's association

alzheimers association
its interesting that its the only disease related non profit thats listed
they raise as much money that day as they do from one of their
walks
look at the slide show and youll see a picture of
me doing my presentation at an alzheimers symposium

Image result for meals on wheels williamson county tx
meals on wheels
these folks mostly but not always are elderly folks who only see
one person each day and thats the meals on wheels person
when i run my route each week i usually slow down and
spend time visiting with those who just want to visit

habitat for humanity
we donate some each year
but i mostly donate my time to this group
working several days on each build
also doing the landscape planning for each house build
haitat provides homes for folks who work hours to qualify
and
who actually pay for the houses themselves
albeit at zero interest and for only the material costs
of the build since most of the labor is donated

they still need money to keep the builds going
maybe some government programs should use this model

the amplify austin covers 7 counties around here
covers 27 categories
500+ nonprofits
they hope to raise $7,000,000 in that 24 hour period

heck use your tax refund if you have one to donate
i know when i write those checks
i feel good doing it
then
when i see the recipients  who receive the services
i feel even better

make yourself feel better
amplify your good will

make it bigger

MAKE IT BIGGER

thats the definition of amplify

so if you develop an organization to make
other organizations bigger
and
make it for the austin area
you would call it

Image result for amplify austin 2015
amplify austin

for a small fee nonprofits can sign up to be on the list
people go to the website
and
click on their favorite nonprofit
and
make a donation
eg
for me
that would be
alzheimers associaton capital of texas chapter
williamson county meals on wheels
i didnt find habitat for humaniy this year but
it was on there last year
they still have time to sign up

there are 92 nonprofits listed so far

so on march 5th there is this big push to get people
to donate to their favorite charity or nonprofit
this year the goal is $7,000.000

eg
the alzheimers associations goal this year is $20,000
a increase from the $15,000+- they raised last year
if they raise that amount through amplify austin
this year that will almost be equal to the amount raised
at one of their smaller walk to end alzheimers

so its become an important fundraiser for many nonprofits

i like the name of the web link
i live here i give here

thats what we should all be doing on march 5th

go to this link amplify austin
and donate
im sure your favorite nonprofit is on list
if not encourage them to sign up

also
that picture above is from the alzheimers association page
on amplify austin
