i love to watch nfl football
if the cowboys are on since they are my team and americas team
i watch them
all games are dvred
even thought they have disappointed me and america for years

i also will look next for the denver broncos games
now im not a bronco fan like im a cowboy fan
but i like to watch peyton manning play the game
there is not another quarterback like him in the game
yes i do dvr his games some just to watch his offensive plays
fast forwarding past the bronco defense plays

but now ive added another team to dvr this year
its the cleveland browns
so whenever johnny football plays this year
i will have it dvred and will watch him play

now hes second string for now
but i dont see how in the world they can keep him off the field
this year
i watched him play this weekend with the second team
it was exciting to watch every offensive play
because you never knew when something exciting would happen

i think its must be like crack johnny football can be such a high
to watch
now i see why those aggies were so excited about their team
for 2 years
heck he got them a big new stadium didnt he
he sold his game jersey at auction i think for $100,000

yep the cowboys may have to take 2nd fiddle this year to
johnny football on my dvr this fall
ill rate him number one on my dvr then if the cowboys are good
then peyton manning after that

but johnny oh johnny if you dont learn to slide when you run

this weekend i watched a masterpiece
a mo'ne masterpiece
no not a painting by a well known painter
but
a pitching performance by a 12 year girl in the little league
world series prelim
she was dominating as she pitched against those boys
let a girl strike you out huh

she is the dominating pitcher this year in the little league world series
she has an effortless form as she pitches
her control is real good
her curve ball goes zappo as it drops away from the batters bat
i watched one little boy no he was one of the biggest boys on the
other team
get out of the way as her curveball came at him then
zappo
over the inside of the plate
a sissy move for sure

she seems well trained in the art of pitching
control of the ball is the most important
she is so calm looking when she pitches
with those long actually pretty dread locks flowing from
the back of the baseball cap

i watched after they got the last out and her team won
she jumped and hugged the guys and then she was on the
bottom of the victory pile then up she comes high fiving
everyone

draft thoughts

DRAFT THOUGHTS

i wish that they hadnt delayed the draft this year for a
couple of weeks
i look forward to the draft
this year i started out watching it
but faded fast as the evening wore on

of course like many of you i was waiting and waiting
and waiting to see where johnny football was going
he sure seemed fidgety didnt he
that guy has to have add

i was real glad he didnt go to jacksonville
he probably would have been beaten up badly if he had
at least they got a big tall strong heavy quarterback
that can take the punishment

i didnt make it to that fateful 22 pick
the one cleveland picks quarterbacks at
not a good sign that pick
or actually any cleveland quarterback pick

they have become the quarterback graveyard


now johnny when he was picked he didnt have to do that
money thing with his thumb and finger

ive decided he is just a little prick
he doesnt understand things like you and i do
maybe waiting like he did so long
will give him a little humility
humility yes thats what he needs

now he may be a little prick but his teammates all seem
to like him
i guess thats what really counts right on a day to day basis

now there are only a few athletes i would pay to go see them
lebron james kevin durant peyton manning
and yes after writing all this the other person would be

i personally like him and think that he has what it takes to

heck he played on a team that could have probably beat a lot

tevin reese a wide receiver was one of my patients years ago
skinny little kid he was
never ever would i have thought he would be in the nfl
his brother played basketball on our summer team in high school
and was just as good an athlete
he chose basketball instead of being like tevin and choosing football
kudos to you tevin


then theres michael sam
was worried he wasnt going to be picked
the best defensive player in the the professional sec league
getting picked so late
i guess the potential baggage scared a lot of teams off

its good he went to the st louis rams who have a coach who
can deal with all of the media attention this pick will bring

the question should be
can this guy play football
yes it appears he can

as a sport fan i would rather have michael sam a gay man
than some player that knocks out his wife in an elevator
or one that shoots himself or someone else in a bar
i think we will have a better character image from mr sam

he sure broke a lot of womens hearts it seems

its time in america that we all accept the gay issue
it will not go away
its here to stay
they will eventually get all the rights of straight folks
just accept them and the movement

you dont have to agree with the gay movement
we all have to make that decisions ourselves

lets just quit putting up those roadblocks
we all have family members or close friends who are gay
so
lets move on to more important things
like
pollution poverty taxes our kids retirements
a cure for alzheimers would be nice

SO THIS IS WHAT ITS LIKE
ive never lived in the mountains or way up north
and had to endure those long cold winters

the closest we ever came to that was when my wife she
was in graduate school at the university of arkansas
in faytetteville arkansas
tucked in the ozarks in the northwest corner of the state
when the year we were there those wintery storms
came through on a weekly basis
and it seemed there was always snow and ice on the
roads that winter during january and february
i didnt like it then
and i dont like it now

as we here in central texas have been forced in side by
cold weather for several days and will have at least two
more days before we get that warming trend we
usually see here in central texas

all that cold rain and sleeting thats been going on does
make for a fun weekend though

so we were locked inside by the weather
i have my gardens all covered up with the white row cover
blankets that lets the water through but keeps it warmer
around our plants

we have had our wood burning stove going all weekend like
an old train engine
shoveling in wood to keep it full
after awhile the heat from the stove warms all the limestone
inside our house and we basically have this warm oven
that we can live in
its the best warmth you can ever experience
almost cocoon like

then for me i got to watch football all weekend long and
mostly vegetated on the couch that big comfortable made
for football and lounging and napping

i saw the razorbacks lose but i think theres a team brewing inside
there that will get better every year
dont give up hog fans

i watched that johnny football play
he lost but i would pay to watch him play live
hope he goes pro this year

i watched the baylor bears hoping to watch that high powered
offense but they got mauled by the osu cowboys

i watched the cowboys win thank goodness
the best of the worst it seems

then i watched the beginnings of the peyton vs tom battle
wished i could have stayed awake for the whole game
it sounded like a good one at the end
however
im real glad i wasnt at that game and am glad i dont live in new england

ill never complain about our weather again

so a good cold but warm inside snuggly weekend
here at the country n

what the heck were they thinking

leaving rg3 in the game

this kid is as exciting to watch as johnny football

it was painful to watch him lie on the ground unable

to move to cover the fumble
as he
reinjured
reinjured
reinjured
his knee

the ball just set there and he couldnt move to cover it

the blame is on the redskins coach and no one else

heck yes if you ask a player you ok can you go back in 

theyll all say yes

concussion and all 

knee injury and all

that was your franchise lying there on that turf unable

to move to cover that fumble

something a 5 year old could have easily done

it cost you the game and 

may have cost you your future

how stupid can you be

rg3 is one of two players that every sunday i look for 

their games on tv so i can watch them play

i watched johnny manziel football heisman play
in the cotton bowl
what an exciting player to watch
he totally took over the game
ive actually watched the dvred game more than once just to
watch him play

however
i know that where he was at in oklahoma it was legal for
anyone over 18 to be gambling
however
he is the heisman winner
he should know the image that sports has had in the past
when it comes to gambling
he will im sure be reminded of this by his coach and the pr
people at am
everyone will be watching him now 24/7 and he has
to be mindful of who is real friends are
