STAGECOACH ROBBERY
several years ago the cheap living guru clark howard
suggested changing your banking to a credit union

now at that time i was with the stagecoach bank
i had been with them for years
but
i noticed that i was started to get nickeled and dimed
with more nickling and diming going on every month

once
i calculated it was costing me close to $300+ a year
just to have a checking account with the well known
western bank

so
i changed to a credit union
i pay well i pay nothing for my checking account
i pay well i pay nothing for my savings account
i pay well i pay nothing for my checks
i pay well i pay nothing for my credit card
which since i am a dave ramsey fan
i rarely use it
if i do i get money back if i use it
i pay well i pay nothing for a debit card
which i do use a lot
since i never have cash in my pocket
but
when i do use my debit card i get cash back at the
end of the year

so
in summary
i pay well i pay nothing for my checking account
i make somewhere between $200 to $300 a year
on the cash back program

i was watching the news
there was that consumer bulldog advocate
elizabeth warrren
chewing up that stagecoach ceo

i am sure his rear end was bloody
like a pit bull had grabbed ahold of his buttocks
and
wouldnt let go

when she finished with him
then
thank goodness for bipartisan  politics
the republican senators finished him off

we always need a bulldog in congress
who is on our side
protecting us

i realize some of you dont like all of her politics
but
you have to like her for what she is doing for us
the consumers
someone has to be on our side

so
as i watched her ream that ceo good
i thought
i am so glad several years ago
that i got off that stagecoach
and
changed to a better banking alternative

THERE YOU GO AGAIN

president reagan said those famous words years ago
at a political debate
now
i think
elizabeth warren mutters it everyday

i think whether you are a democrat or republican or independent
or nothing
you need to like her
since
like ive said before she is on our side
she is watching out for our best interest
the not rich guys
no matter their political persuasion

we have to have someone like her up there
to be a thorn in the side of those who
got us in all that financial mess we were in

i think you will like her if you just focus on the things
she does to protect all of us
just forget about politics

now i realize she is too liberal on other issues to ever be
elected president
but
i wish we could get someone running that had
that fire in her belly that she does
someone who was really truly
on our side

i noticed her standing beside the president when he was
talking about excessive fees that many of you are paying
for your investments
not me my fees are the lowest there is
any move to decrease these are being met with resistance
and
big money is being put up to fight it
since those too big to fail folks
the ones we saved and it seems are set up to save again
if need be
are some of the ones set to fight it

derivatives that dirty word is back again
you go senator warren fight those things for us
our great grandkids will be paying for the last bailout
on those things
and
we i should say our great great grandkids will be on
the hook for the new derivatives
why cant we learn
oh thats right
follow the money where it flows
to both the democrats and republicans
thats why all this stuff happens
they work together to protect those with the money
and
we all have to pay for it

in sundays local paper i read this article on
low down payment mortgages at many loan places
now
these are the ones that started the mess that
almost destroyed our country financially
sending us down an abyss that we are still
trying to get out of

the freddie mac is allowing these 3% down loans
fixed rates to be done
lets see 3% on a $100,000 house
thats $3000
im sorry this doesnt feel right to me
makes me feel real uncomfortable

my thought is that
you dont have the money for a larger down payment
then
you just keep on renting your apartment or house
many folks are better off doing it this way anyway
you cant default on rent

lets dont put all of those folks at high risk of personal
financial collapse again

bank bailout

bad dirty words for us the middle class
whether we are republican democrat or independent
or
even if you arent anything

those word have returned again
to haunt us into the future
since
we are the ones that will pay for it all

citigroup was one of the too big to fail banks
that has used its influence on congress
yes on both democrats and republicans
to get what they want

they received a 1/2 trillion dollars
thats $500,000,000,000 of our dollars
yours and mine

to be to big to fail
to use those derivative things again
with our guarantees if they fail
thats you and i

a continued bank wall street bailout

now senator elizabeth warren spoke out
one of the few who did
against all this
wonder why the others didnt speak out

she after all is on our side
whether we are democrat republican or independent

you should google her
she is on our side
whether you are a democrat republican independent conservative
liberal or moderate you should support her

she is head of the consumer financial protection bureau
so whats the problem with her
well she trying to truly protect us from THEM
you know THEM that screwed us all by almost breaking our
economic system
you know THEM that doesnt want elizabeth warren to be head
of this consumer financial protection bureau as she has done these
terrible things
she gave special counsel to multiple state attorneys in their
investigations of the robo signing scandal
she is the one who thought up and set up this consumer
financial protection agency that would protect us from all
the finacial shenanigans like predatory subprime mortgages
she has made bank disclosures easier for us to understand
she has made no more screwing the consumers by the financial
industry her top priority
she was influential in passing the consumer protecting dodd-frank
reform law

looks like the administration may let her go under the bus
there will go one of our true protectors against THEM

think about her when you dont have to pay all of those
fees for using your debit card, being able to read credit card
and  loan agreements
she was fought hard against using the tarp money from
bailing out the wall street fat cats as director of the commission
that kept an eye on where the money went

think she may have made THEM real mad at her

she will be missed if she is not kept
as
shes on our side

she gets to go in front of congress again next month
she stood her ground during the last one despite a brutal
hearing

ONION CHIMES
so i plant onions every winter and harvest them every june
we store them for use through the summer fall and winter
this was a very good onion year
guess they like hot dry weather
of course i do use drip irrigation with rainwater whenever it
doesnt rain-which this year is a lot
i also use organic compost
this year all the compost i used i made myself
in my chicken composter

(whats a chicken composter-its the kiss keep it simple stupid
method of composting
just add the compost stuff into a bin the chickens can get to and
they keep the compost all mixed up for you and eat bugs and
seeds in the compost and add a little extra fertilizer to the mix
the only work i do is to shovel it into the garden)

i also added organic liquid fertilizer (used johns recipe from the
lady bug brand) every 2-3 weeks and added organic fertilizer every
month

this is what i ended up with-300 onions

so we made onion chimes out of them
well thats what they look like
chimes of onions

actually we take panty hose (buy cheapest i can find)
drop an onion down the leg then tie it off then drop another
one down the leg then tie it off etc
then we hang them up until we are ready to use them
we just cut off the bottom onion and the rest stay hanging
in the onion chime

just love the flavor of these organic green onions
