beware the politicians who want to change medicare
beware the word
voucher

thats a code word for
you gonna be paying more for your healthcare out of your
own pocket
and
the private insurance companies are going to be the winners
in this game
just like they are with the obamacare policies


remember
when you hear them say voucher to buy your own medicare
folks you are about to be screwed financially
the politicians are getting lots of pressure ie money
form the health insurance lobby and pharma lobby etc

the voucher system is not the answer to medicare costs
here is what is

fees paid to labs doctors clinics hospitals have to be reduced even more
the time so much money is made off healthcare has to end
remember this is from someone who worked in this world

medicare has to be able to negotiate prices for drugs
medicare has to be able to negotiate prices for drugs
medicare has to be able to negotiate prices for drugs

controls on uses of services have to be made
eg guidelines like the us preventative health services have to
be followed
guidelines for tests like mris as an example have to be followed
guidelines for end of life care have to be implemented
please dont spend all that money on me in my last days
just let me go peaceably

now ive been on medicare now for a couple of years
my observation
its pretty dang efficient
i do have the medicare supplements that pays all my deductibles
and my 20% not covered by medicare

my bill was over $600 at my last visit
that was reduced to about $380 by usual and customary charges
but even then
it should have been much less
eg my pneumoshot was more than what my doctor got paid

i paid $0 having already paid my premiums for my insurances

so when you hear them say
changes to medicare
voucher
get ready
it wont be good for you

remember all of you will be on medicare eventually
make sure politicians dont mess it up
for when your time comes to get it

i am quite happy with my medicare and medicare supplement
and medicare drug plans
now it helped being a doctor to figure out those supplements plans
i feel sorry for those who dont have the experience with all this
there are some bad choices with these supplements

my recommendation is just have one choice
medicare only
let medicare have the power to more aggressively control drug prices
and control costs
without the influence of your congress person and big pharma and
big whatever group wants more of our money

or just do
medicare for all

i hate racism of any kind
its the poison that may ruin this country
i grew up with it ingrained in our culture
its still there though

i wish there was another party i could associate with
a party that is made up of those folks who really elect
the presidents
those of us in the middle
please learn to think for yourself
so many people cant do that nowadays

i do volunteer work

think that everyone especially schoolkids should have to

i like all my 5 siblings that have college degrees
all paid our own way through college via scholarships
grants gi bill military and working
im hoping you have all the drive and ambition we all had
there are 1 phd 1 md 5 masters degrees 7 bachelors degrees

NATURE OR NURTURE
this has been debated for years in science
is it  the genes
or
is it social forces
that determines things

now i have been a big duct tape officiano
for a long time

i always thought it was social in its origin
over the years having seen it used on lots of things
and
of course ive used it on lots of things
my most proud use is this

duct tape chair
i have requested that i be buried
yes it leans back like a lounge chair
in this thing
after all thats my best position i find myself in the
evenings
is leaning back in my easy chair watching tv

so yes bury me in this thing
ill die happy knowing that will be final resting place

then there was this

my duct tape repaired wheelbarrow
i think ive added years to its life

then my cowgirl sisterinlaw sent me this picture
of duct tape used on horses

theres more and more of these pictures of things ive used
duct tape on
heck i once ran a long strip across the top of my solar panels
to keep my guneas from roosting on them at night
it worked
they didnt like duct tape stuck on their feet

then
i was thinking as i sat meditating in my garden
the other day
is the use of duct tape
nature or nurture

now i dont remember us using duct tape when i was a kid
so
this weekend i got my answer
when we visited my rainwater brother

there sitting on his kitchen cabinet was his coffee pot
heck i drank the coffee
it tasted good

however it did have a little bit of a duct tape flavor to it

the question was
is it the duct tape on the pot
or

this duct tape on the sink faucet

not sure which it was

now i must confess though
the duct tape is there until the new sink and faucets arrive to be
put into place

but
now i know
