how sweet it is, ancestry in motion

HOW SWEET IT IS
two videos stand out that i have watched this year
this one i posted this spring
one is the video of the gentleman who had alzheimers
and was slumped out in the wheelchair
when ipod buds were placed in his ears and
the music he loved and played in his younger life was played
r and b
he came alive before our eyes

now there is another one that ranks up there with that one

be sure and take the time it takes to watch the whole video
your day will be a better day today if you do

this one will make you cry
i know it did me
every time ive listened to it
including this morning

his wife died and he wrote her a poem
the story of what happened to that poem
is worth the several minutes it takes to listen to it

yes well worth the time

ANCESTRY IN MOTION
i saw this video on komando.com today
this video makes me think of our family reunion
we have every year
i wonder if we could do this at our reunion
and would it look the same

i know when i look at pictures of my brothers and sisters
then look at their kids so many look alike

if you watch this video you have to pay attention and follow
the video from start to finish
the changes you are watching are very subtle as they occur
but are worth it
at least it was to me
it makes me do a lot of thinking about ancestry and genetics
and of my family
