more than likely between the two companies
our stuff got released

i heard a financial person say
just expect that your stuff got released

so i read an article from clark howard the consumer guru
he made these recommendations
so i did them for both my wife she and i

i went to the 3 credit bureaus to do a credit freeze
it seems that equfaux made it easy to sign up for the freeze
but
as i was answering their questions to get it done
i thought
wow a lot of people have access to the information
they asked for
anyone could have frozen our credit

the other two were tougher to do
in fact when my wife she and i were doing experians questions
i guess we flunked one of the answers
gotta do it all by paper now for experian
a hassle but at least they were picky

so now
my credit is frozen at at all three credit bureaus
my wife she is frozen at two of them
the other one is having to be done old school like
with snail mail documentation

like clark suggested
we signed up for credit karma to monitor our credit
my wife she had trouble signing up since we had to unlock
our freeze to sign up
we chose not to do that

none of this cost me a dime
my wife she had to pay $10 for transunion and $10 for experian
since equifaux was guilty theirs was free
i guess all mine were free since i am older

i also put limits and notifications on all our credit cards and
checking accounts and investment stuff

i think i have done as much as i can now to protect
ourselves

somehow though
i and we dont feel safe

this weekend i watched a vice show on hbo on the dark web
it was disturbing to realize how helpless we
may all be

this damage done will last our lifetime and your lifetime

remember that when you see your congress people
tell them to fix this if they want to fix something

ok maybe healthcare taxes gun control could be added
along with stop poking that rattlesnake in north korea

STAGECOACH ROBBERY
several years ago the cheap living guru clark howard
suggested changing your banking to a credit union

now at that time i was with the stagecoach bank
i had been with them for years
but
i noticed that i was started to get nickeled and dimed
with more nickling and diming going on every month

once
i calculated it was costing me close to $300+ a year
just to have a checking account with the well known
western bank

so
i changed to a credit union
i pay well i pay nothing for my checking account
i pay well i pay nothing for my savings account
i pay well i pay nothing for my checks
i pay well i pay nothing for my credit card
which since i am a dave ramsey fan
i rarely use it
if i do i get money back if i use it
i pay well i pay nothing for a debit card
which i do use a lot
since i never have cash in my pocket
but
when i do use my debit card i get cash back at the
end of the year

so
in summary
i pay well i pay nothing for my checking account
i make somewhere between $200 to $300 a year
on the cash back program

i was watching the news
there was that consumer bulldog advocate
elizabeth warrren
chewing up that stagecoach ceo

i am sure his rear end was bloody
like a pit bull had grabbed ahold of his buttocks
and
wouldnt let go

when she finished with him
then
thank goodness for bipartisan  politics
the republican senators finished him off

we always need a bulldog in congress
who is on our side
protecting us

i realize some of you dont like all of her politics
but
you have to like her for what she is doing for us
the consumers
someone has to be on our side

so
as i watched her ream that ceo good
i thought
i am so glad several years ago
that i got off that stagecoach
and
changed to a better banking alternative

well yes they are in trouble

if you consulted dave ramsey the financial advice guy
he would say the only choice is to file bankruptcy
if you consulted clark howard the consumer guy he would
say the same thing
ask most financial advisors they would say the same
ask me and i would say win  the lottery or file bankruptcy

now

add 8 zeroes to everything and what you have is the
us governments budget
im not talking about the congressmen that are zeroes

what if we filed bankruptcy
the chinese would lose the most
then the whole world would be in the worst economic crash
ever imaginable

our only other option is to do what you and i would do
here at home
raise our revenues  and cut our expenses

how complicated can this be
why cant those zeroes in congress do this and hopefully
do it soon

lets just subtract them all and start with new ones who
are one of us and understands what needs to be done
no party needs to be spared
