its hot here its hot there

ITS HOT HERE ITS HOT THERE
HEAT ADVISORY_1532351172992.JPG.jpg
kxan.com weather

i kept hearing those hot temps from everywhere in the united states
i know its not global cooling
i would say its global warming
the correct word is now climate change

i have no doubt the climate is changing
the biggest proof i see is when those big ole glaciers melt like they do

now some of this is cyclical like nature does things
however
man is making those up and down swings a lot worse

so i looked at areas that i have lived during my life to see what the weather was like

southern arkansas looks like upper 90s like 99 but i bet they get to a hundred
if you have ever been there in the summer when its humid you know how miserable that 100 degrees can be

little rock is due to bump up against the 100 mark this week

high desert in california where we went to college is due to reach 107 today
when i lived there a long time ago it was usually a real dry heat that use to be more tolerable
we used a swamp cooler to cool our apartment
it drips water down a filter and the cooler sucks in air across the water soaked filter
it worked well unless the humidity got high

los angeles area where we went to the university
it will reach 109 there this week
when we lived there it was real bad smoggy in the summer which made life just miserable to live there sometimes

in austin it will get to 107 there
let me tell you something
when it gets to 107 in the central texas area
well
its just real miserable

thank goodness for good ole air conditioning there

then here in the santa barbara country area it will get up to 101 this week
one thing i have noticed is that it always seems to get hotter here when they predict these high temperatures than what they predict

one bad thing in this area is that very few folks have air conditoning
even some of the large expensive homes dont
i am always hearing folks say
it use to never get this hot around here

well
for whatever reason
it does now

to me someone who has lived in all those hot areas listed above
a 100 degrees here is just flat ass miserable

call it what you want
i call it climate change since that better describes whats happening
its making things very uncomfortable here and elsewhere a little too often

our condo rules even though we own it
dont allow us to put in air conditioning

thanks to all this climate change hotter than heck temps lately
they are thinking about changing those rules

man
we will be the first in line to get a ac unit in place

but
its still paradise weather here most of the time
ok
for those living in those hot areas
i had to sit outside this weekend at around 700pm
and
wear my hoodie sweat shirt

sorry

i am done

I AM DONE
thats what i told my wife she last night
im through
no more
done

now
i know who i am going to vote for president
theres nothing that will appear in the news media
to make me change my mind
Image result for presidential election
movietvtechgeeks.com
theres is nothing to convince me to vote for the other
person
no matter what is said i am not going to change my vote

this running for president has taken too long
seems like its been going on now for 5 years
i was thinking
how can those candidates hold up to all that stress
all that name calling
all that traveling
all those speeches
dont you get tired
i know i do just watching them
i am tired of watching them
trash each other

here is what i care about
that needs fixing
this is all i want to hear about
not someones tweets or their health or their emails
or their spouses
heck im glad folks cant see what i wrote in my emails
now my tweets they are out there though to read

just tell us what we can expect on these issues

social security and medicare
these are about to break the bank
a difficult decision needs to be made
do it and  move on

immigration
what we gonna do with 11 million folks
many provide the jobs that without them we would all be miserable

health care
if obamacare isnt the answer then find one
its not going to work where a large portion of the population
is carved out to get no care
ie
texas health care

race or racism
it could be what destroys our country

the federal debt is looming over us
our congress is doing nothing to address this
sorry but we cant file bankruptcy and start over
maybe dave ramsey could help congress

climate change
whatever the causes
it cant be good that all the glaciers are melting
and
russia and china can run boats across the north pole
thats not good
we need to do whatever we can to slow all this down

work together
we or they as congress people need to work together
to get things done

thats all i want
to hear them talk about

so
off goes my tv
click click as i change my news feeds
delete delete delete
if they arent talking about these important things

its a secret, call it what you will

ITS A SECRET

this is secret beach in nicaragua
its thought to have been caused by a tsunami that
brought all that sand up onto the side of that
cliff to make a strip of sand that is almost
100 yards long down the side of the cliff
people have been known to go to the top and
with a boogey board slide down to the bottom

its called the secret beach because if you manage to
get there you will definitely be by yourself
its a tough walk and steep climb to get to this slab of beach sand
on the side of the hill
but apparently its worth it if you make it to the beach

i didnt go down but have added that to my bucket list
for my next visit there

its officially called playa duma

CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT
you can call it what you want
climate change or global warning it doesnt really matter
somethings happening
the glaciers are melting
there are small islands in the pacific that are disappearing
under water
thats real you cant deny it
man made or just natural occurrence
it doesnt matter its here now

i see evidence of change on my property on the country n
see that dark maroon color above that denotes severe drought

the map where i live has that dark maroon color
and it shows around here

my grass on some of my property is dead and there is no new
stuff taking its place
ive lost a lot of trees on my property that provided shelter and
food to a lot of animals
ive lost several trees ive planted over the years since weve been
here and have lost several native shrubs also
some were those xeric drought tolerant ones

we have deep ruts and holes in our pastures from the last
two-three years of decreased rain

weve also noticed a decrease in animals around here
skunks possums rabbits foxes deer armadillos and even snakes
that makes my wife happy

heck even the road kill has decreased
enough to starve a buzzard

it shows also on my garden and landscape
theres stress on many of the plants and the soil is extremely dry

we did get 2.5 inches of rain this weekend
not a drought buster but it helps
however i dug down into the soil in the garden and it was dry
just a couple of inches even though we had all that rain

hopefully the color on the map will lighten some for us and for
those midwestern folks

yep call it what you will but it is happening

maybe the politicians could stop arguing over what its called
and whats causing it
and just accept that its happening and that dumping stuff
in the air and ground and the environment really isnt good for us
