country n news-woked

COUNTRY N NEWS-WOKED

nope thats not a misspelling
ive been woked

no i wasnt asleep

several months ago my motherinlaw
the one who shelled the peas wrong with my wife she
but they still tasted good
sent me a box
i opened it
there was this cooking thing
my wife she said its a wok
a wok
i said
i dont want a wok
so it disappeared into my wife shes place
somewhere on this earth
ive never been able to find its location
thats the same place my old blue jacket
i liked to work in outside when it was real cold
went to for several years
it reappeared last year
however
my old blue jean jacket with stains and holes
everywhere
never made the return

so a few weeks ago i started cooking a small version
of stir fry in a small frying pan we had
i told my wife she
i sure like stir fry
wish i had one of those things
you call a wok

wok
remember my mother sent you one
thats right
i read online on how to use it then
and curing it seemed too complicated
forget about it i said at the time

so i had been looking at woks to buy
then
i thought ill give this one a try
so
out it came
online i went
i spent all day sunday curing that thing

it got a little smokey in the kitchen
all day

so yesterday
as i was taking off the white row cover used to protect
my winter garden from the cold
i looked at what i had
thinking of stir fry
thinking of my old now newly cured wok

there was broccoli cabbage soon to be brussel sprouts
asian greens a version of bok choy
kale arugula garlic chives green onions
so i cut me some of these
and
washed rinsed and chopped them into a bowl
adding carrots mushrooms zucchini squash
butternut squash

i added crushed garlic to my newly worked over wok
cooked it until it was browned in olive oil
then
added all that green and color stuff
man on man it looked so good
and
smelled good
i added salt pepper pepper flakes and some soy sauce

i stirred it and watched it and smelled it for several minutes
i am always amazed at how much reduction happens
to that big ole pile of veggies

then
when completed
it was placed over a bed of rice

a delicious healthy organic country n stir fry

this seems to easy to make
i worry that im missing something here
its so good tasting
and
its so healthy being on the dash diet  mind diet  mediterranean diet

i plan more meals
using my newly discovered wok
yes
ive been woked

wonder if i could cook black eyed peas in it
