day #13 covid 19 quarantine

at noon today i will have gone 72 hours without any fever and chills
i have no headache
i have a runny nose after i wear my n95 mask to go to the bathroom
my tissue count has gone down significantly
my guess is i wouldnt use any tissues if i didnt wear my mask
i have a scratchy throat that hasnt changed in 5-6 days
i have a mild cough that hasnt changed from my usual cough i have had for months
i have no vomiting or diarrhea
my appetite is ok
i over did it one night eating extra food drinking a glass of wine and eating a large cookie
then drank an extra coffee the next day
i was nauseated for awhile yesterday but by supper time i was hungry again
i learned my lesson so i limited how much i ate and had no wine or cookie
i drank my cup of coffee ok this morning but avoided the urge to have that second cup

my wife she who is doing ok says im getting antsy
she is right

i have noticed i have a loss of endurance over the last 2 weeks
as i felt tired after tiding up the room and bagging up clothes and wiping down things in my room and in the bathroom
when i get out of quarantine and walk to my garage and go to the garden thats when i will know how much strength ive lost

the guideline says i can come out of quarantine after lunch today
to be cautious i will wait until tomorrow to do that
on saturday i plan to go to my garden to check it out
i can go there and not have to be close to a human

when i go out
i plan to wear my n95 mask left over from when i worked in my garden after the fires
i will dispose of the one im using now
wearing it will just be extra just in case the cdc is wrong and as protection to others
later i will switch to a bandanna since we have a bunch of them

why wear this mask and or the bandanna
if you catch this infection it will be
from inhaling particles from the air
from something you touched with your hands which transfers the germs to your nose and mouth and eyes
wearing a mask even one you made or a bandanna might keep you from touching the eyes nose and mouth
it also might keep droplets from being inhaled but its not as good as the n95 mask
if i were to encounter anyone i will give them a way over 10 ft space
that 6 ft recommendation doesnt seem right to me

its possible that once i am no longer shedding the virus that i will be immune to this disease and all these precautions arent necessary
but i cant be too careful

i will wear a  mask whenever i go outdoors

i will wash my hands good when i get home from being outside
i will wash my bandannas and keep them changed each day
i will stay inside except for going to my garden at times when no one is there besides me
i will stay away from everyone except for my wife she for awhile just to be overcautious

yesterday i watched a show where they did interviews with folks who were sick with the covid 19
one word they all used and one i used to describe how you feel is
washed out

if you stay inside and limit who you come in contact with to as close to zero you probably will not get this infection
if you go outside then you are at risk of catching it
we are using delivery services for groceries and pharmacy items

i wont know if i really had it until i get an antibody test if it becomes available

in my world the three high risk people are mr hudson my pregnant daughter in law my mother in law
i plan on limiting my access to zero to them for now

if i was in practice now i would need to have 2 negative covid 19 tests to be sure i wasnt contagious
before i returned to work

be safe
stay inside
if you do go outside wear a homemade mask or bandanna
stay over 10 ft from other folks
wash your hands when you come back inside
wash your hands a lot
dont touch your face
