my biased bracket

MY BIASED BRACKET

i admit im biased when i fill out my ncaa mens basketball bracket
i have my highest bias towards
the arkansas razorbacks and the texas longhorns
two teams i always root for unless they play each other

so lets get this over with
arkansas will win its first game but lose its second to purdue
as will the longhorns as they lose to cincinnati in their second game

now if you take all the teams that had a player get busted for
accepting money from agents and their agents lose
well
i decided i couldnt do that since there would not be many major
teams left

now i didnt pick duke this year
i dont like duke this year
they may have cheated i dont know that they did
but something there doesnt pass the smell test
like old eggs left laying around too long
plus i dont like their tripping player
he got issues that one
hes going to get his long overdues if he goes to the nba
they have a way of taking care of those things

the nba needs to have a larger number of d league teams
those minor league teams to catch those players who want to get
paid more to play
leaving true college sports players to play college ball
maybe give each one of them a stipend for food and entertainment
and clothes etc
at least let them work during the school year in their off season
many of these folks are from poor families who cant afford to
give them money

yep d league and pay the players might help some of the
money corruption thats going on

so looking at the brackets
i see virginia playing tennessee with virginia in the final four
i see north carolina playing xavier and winning their way to the final four
i see villinova beating texas tech  then on to the final four
i see kansas getting beat by michigan state letting the spartans into the final four

then i see villanova playing north carolina in the finals
with the blue
my favorite color
winning it all
north carolina is my pick to win it all this year

let see was i right last year
heck
i cant even remember who won last year

busted again

BUSTED AGAIN

my younger son was here visiting this weekend
since we both love basketball
we spent most of the weekend watching games
and
well like i usually do
napping

i told him you came all the way home to watch me sleep
he said
whats so different about that

we did watch a lot of the games

my brackets were done
no i didnt make that billion dollar bracket
some  poor guy has picked all the games so far
but
he forgot to enter the billion dollar bracket
but
the odds apparently are infinitesimal to win it
so
i dont enter that one

my bracket has gotten busted down
to four teams on the left side
and
four teams on the right side
with
3 of 4 of my final four teams are still intact
thats virginia florida louisville
that michigan team that beat texas sure looked good
maybe next year horns

what the heck is a shocker anyway
i knew wichita state wasnt going to make it through
you just cant win all your games in a year
just like that billion dollar bracket
its not going to be done

so on to next weeks games
the games just get better and better as they get closer
to the final game
however the wichita state north carolina game was a good one
those tar heels that are one and doners seemed to have
gotten good at the right time
guess its called nba draft prep

enjoyable weekend
thanks for all the birthday wishes

then theres the womens tournament
in case you didnt notice started this weekend
they are trying to fit in to a good time slot arent they

they would do well to wait after the mens and then have theirs
since that will be a dry hole time for sports

texas longhorns women won i noticed this am
guess ill try to follow them as far as they go

MY BRACKETS

each year i look forward to march madness
the ncaa mens basketball tournment
especially now that all the games are on tv

now we dont have to be watching a good game
then they switch over to some other game
so you dont get to see the end of the first game

that use to just tick me off
now if that happens its my fault since we can see all
of them
and since we have dvr so we can record games
if
we are gone or if we have two games on at the same
time we want to watch

we means mostly me but my wife she is a good sports fan
with two boys and a husband who love sports she sort of
didnt have too much choice

i sorta of put things off i need to do so i can see several games
as they are shown day and night

just like at peoples work my productivity drops off a lot
during this march madness

i printed out my bracket and filled it out
here is some of the results
i am putting it on the record for all to see so that i cant
be accused of cheating on my brackets

my final four teams are
florida
virginia
oklahoma state
louisville

finals
florida
louisville

i wanted to pick wichita state but i didnt because theres no way
anyone will go through the year undefeated
i predict they will get beat by louisville

oklahoma state has a good team that fell apart but seems to be
kicked in and have a lot to prove
if they can get past arizona they have a good chance to make it

iowa state the big 12 winner is playing as well as anyone but they
have to go through virginia
if im wrong ill be happy

the sleeper team i want to watch is
stephen f austin from texas
not because they are from texas but because they are good
too bad they would have to go through florida
they wont make it past this weekend

my texas team made it this year
they have played badly recently
i predict they will beat arizona state but wont make it past michigan
maybe next year as all their team will be back

kudos to the big 12 with its 7 teams that got in
what happened to the sec huh aggie fans
guess football just took over huh

so my wife she knows not to make any social commitments
during this time
if you happen to call me during the games expect the calls to go
to voicemail

ill call you back on april 8 when this is all over

oh yes i predict gator nation will be very happy again
