AMERICAS TEAM
this weekend i set my dvr for the game where
americas team in the nfl in would be playing
i waited for 30 min or so then started watching
the team play
americas team
now ive been a long time cowboy fan as long as my
football memory is
theyve gone through some bad times recently
well how about 18 or so years it seems
but now they are looking good

so i sat down to watch americas team play on sunday
i sure like to watch their quarterback play
thats the first game i look for on the weekend is
when americas team plays and that quarterback plays


im talking about the 2014 americas team

the denver broncos
and
peyton manning

peyton manning should be the mould that all nfl teams
and nfl future quarterbacks try to mimic
on and off the field
heck i even like his jocular ads on tv

great performance by one of the best quarterbacks ever

now
to the old americas team


the cowboys are finally looking good
there are 4 things a successful team has to have
a good offensive line
a good running back
a good quarterback
a good defense

check check check check on all of those for those cowboys

could this be their year
i keep waiting for the stuff to hit the fan
running back injury
romos back to fail
more injuries
i almost want them to fail so jerry wont gloat so much
but
no im a diehard cowboy fan
lets go cowboys


i am sure enjoying the new sec channel
get to see any of the sec match ups i want to see every saturday
and
of course the new longhorn channel does the same for the
longhorns


there was another colt mccoy sighting this weekend
as he lead the washington team to a win

you notice i didnt write the name of their mascot
is it offensive or not
i dont know since my dna shows i have no american indian blood
it seems simple to me on that question though
ask all the amerian indian tribes in that area
if they feel its a name that honors the american indian
keep it
if they feel its a racist term like the n word
then get rid of it
seems simple to me
i think the majority of american indians dont want to
be called the mascot name
what if the notre dame irish which seems ok to me
since my ancestry is part irish
was the notre dame drunks or the notre dame mics or mucks
offensive that would be
not allowed most irish would say

colt now is the official starter until rg3 returns
maybe colt will be the starter on monday night football
this week against the old americas team the cowboys
sorry
ill be pulling for colt mccoy in that game

wonder if the new america team plays the old americas team
this year

can you imagine a league made up of the big 12 and the sec
maybe chopping off a few teams like texas tech iowa state
kansas
what a great season that would be for college football huh
no team could ever get through that maize with no wins
dream is what we could do

SUPER BONG BOWL
sometimes the teams that play in the super bowl
just seem to be predetermined by fate

like when the new orleans saints made it to the super bowl
after the katrina disaster
and after the superdome was rebuilt
it was destined that the saints team and drew brees
to be in the super bowl
and to win it all

this year its seems the two teams were predetermined again
or predestined to be
yes
seattle and denver
why
because this is the year that the states of washington and
colorado legalized marijuana use

heck in the denver airport now
if you forget to dispose of your pot before you go
through the tsa line
that have a special container that you dump it in
with no penalties
hum wonder what they do with all that trash
but
get on that plane with it and  get caught
then the feds will hang your butt

seems strange doesnt it how our laws work
or should i say dont work sometimes

i think sometimes of all the kids and athletes lives that
have been ruined by having the weed in their possession
a entry level into the legal system
that at least in these two super bowl cities wont happen
anymore

all this for denver and colorado gives a new meaning
to rocky mountain high

according to reports over 50% of nfl players smoke the weed
the nfl apparently only test for it in the off season
all the players know when that it will be
get caught with a positive test then you are stupid

also apparently a lot of players use it for pain relief and
for stress relief during the season

some new reports are coming out that the weed can be used
in concussions and may speed the healing process in the brain
so in the future you may see the concussed player on the sidelines
eating a brownie smoking a joint or having a bud

in fact new studies in alzheimers disease shows that mild use of
weed may be helpful in improving short term memory loss
but of course like alcohol excessive use or stoners have a problem
that develops with their memory

i think if i lived in washington or colorado or if texas had medical weed
that i would take a brownie each night before i go to bed
to help to counteract the effects on my sleep of the aricept (donepezil)
that i take for possible alzheimers disease
and
to maybe improve my short term memory

so if you visit me be careful eating any of my brownies that are in
my cookie jar

its highly unlikely that the two star qbs in this game smoke the weed
or maybe ever did
peyton manning drinks beer i know he said so
thats the only bud he partakes of
russell wilson is so dang smart
he probably does little to harm himself or
his rep

what two great role models for our kids


then theres richard sherman
i know people says he is a thug
hes not
hes an honor student from high school who has his degree from stanford
with a high gpa
most of you/us cant even get into stanford much less have a high gpa if you
did
then hes a multimillionaire well set for life

ive watched him on interviews multiple times
what an intelligent person he is
thug he is not

it was his final play that put the seahawks in the super bowl
heck i would have been excited too

so this super bong bowl will take place on sunday
it will be cold but not as bad as what was expected
no snow or rain as of now

THEY WAIVED
if youve read this blog you know that im a supporter of obamacare
its not the best system that could have been developed but at least
its a system we didnt have but we do now

its not the one i would have wanted
as ive written before i really think we should have a one payer system
heck we all are going to be on a one payer system eventually anyway
its called medicare

i have three brothers who were in the military and are now retired from
the military
they have been on a one payer system for years

we have 8 kids in our family and 5 of the 8 were or are now on
a single payer system
in a few years real soon all 8 of us will be on a single payer system
it will work for us and it would probably work for anyone

i probably will be on an obamacare policy once i can get back online
and complete my application
after a couple more years though i will be on the single payer system
medicare

it was with interest that ive watched how florida and texas who has the
most uninsured people in the united states have decided to forgo the
expansion of medicaid
they hope to remain a third world country when it comes to that groups
health care ie the lack of health care

then enters the little engine that could
it has a democratic governor and a republican legislature
usually that means stalemate
like we are seeing now with the us government
nothing gets done

but they got together and came up with a new idea
lets take that money the feds were going to give us for those people
caught between medicaid and the new exchanges
and instead of what texas and florida didnt do

lets take the money and buy health insurance for those folks

now thats a novel idea isnt it

so the feds said ok lets try it
so they gave arkansas a waiver to do ti

so in arkansas instead of not covering those thousands of people
they now will buy them their own policies on the exchanges
which arkansas also set up themselves instead of
letting the feds do it for them

cost to arkansas for this initial plan is zero

seems to simple an idea to really work
but
now other states are looking at his idea to cover those poor and
uninsured people in their states

go arkansas
your not number one in football
but you are number one in innovation and original thought when it
comes to finding a solution to the states healthcare problems

that game yeserday between the broncos and cowboys was the
best football game i think i have ever seen

i watched it on dvr and was i ever glad
it allowed me to rest some between plays

they just need to go ahead and cancel the rest of the season and
give peyton manning the mvp trophy and the broncos the super bowl
trophy
