covid 19-sports a nice diversion

COVID 19-SPORTS A NICE DIVERSION

sports is such a nice diversion during this time of uncertainty
there is
all the political stuff going on
all the protests going on
all the hurricanes and bad weather

all the wildfires out here burning the state up and leaving this eerie look to the sun
all the cases of covid 19 everywhere with no let up in sight this fall

there is so much bad stuff going on that we all need a good diversion

now i use my gardening time and grandparent time to divert some from all these negative things
but
here recently i have been able to add another big diversion to all this bad stuff
and
its sports

i think most of us like some type of sports to watch
for me
i have my favorite sports
it seems when i am engage in watching a sporting event i dont really think about anything else but the event im watching

its a nice diversion
an hour or two where i dont really think much about anything else

now im able to do that sometimes when i go to the garden where i am usually by myself except for me and the chickens and birds and lizards and insects and bees
a moment to relax

it was such a long long time since march without seeing sports
sorry i couldnt watch any of those reruns of old events
i did watch a lot of the documentary stories like the one about the chicago bulls
but
after awhile you just want to see the real live events on television or the internet
so
recently i have watched a lot of live events and got my fill of sports finally
well a partial fill

i watched a lot of nba games with more competitive games coming as they start the semifinal playoff games
i have enjoyed watching a lot of the young new players
i realize what great athletes these guys are
no i dont get caught up in the political side of it all
i just enjoy the game

i watched some wnba games
its nice to see them pass and shoot and not dunk all the time

i watched serena play several matches this week in the us open
sorry she lost
i really want her to win another major
i did watch ms osaga win the finals though
she may be the next serena
sorry
i usually dont watch the mens game

last week i watched the kentucky derby
it seemed strange to not see all those folks in the stands all decked out in garb
i hope to watch the rest of the races as they occur

i was able to watch several nfl games this weekend
again it seemed weird to see no fans in the stands
what a nice diversion for all of us nfl fans to finally get to see games played again

i was able to see several college games this weekend
im afraid the covid 19 will hit college football the worse as that second wave hits this fall
there is too much covid 19 on campuses and it will be hard to keep it away from the football teams

i could have watched nhl hockey but i am not a hockey fan but if i was i still could watch it

i could watch car racing but again im not a big car racing fan but i occasionally watch them

i did watch some golf the last few weeks
now golf that seems like a fairly safe sport during the covid 19 era

there was and is even soccer to watch here in the us and from overseas

so i think us sports fans in this covid 19 pandemic have gotten some much needed exposure to sports this weekend and the last few weeks
a much needed exposure

it makes it easier to deal with all thats going on

be safe
wear a mask
keep your distance from others
wash your hands a lot

enjoy your sports team or event
